Before the beginning of an IVF cycle, the couple is evaluated by the scientific director of our center, so that diagnostic and treatment plans can be made.
The diagnostic plan will be based on the information provided by the patient’s medical history and physical examination. Previous infertility evaluation is reviewed and new laboratory tests are ordered, only when necessary.
Once the diagnosis is established, the physician gives information to the couple about the causes of their infertility and the chances of a positive result. In cases where other treatment options have proven unsuccessful, IVF is offered. Procedures, complications, medication-related side effects and success rates are discussed in detail.
